This is an
exciting time to be the Church of Jesus
Christ! Around us the world is constantly
changing. The relationship we have with Jesus
continues to be shaped by the experiences of our
lives. The time is now for the Church to
share more visibly how Jesus, God’s Son,
influences our daily lives…not just on Sunday
morning! As the pastor of Trinity – Fort
Washington, I invite you to experience Jesus with
wonderful people who have embarked on a spiritual
journey, open to discovering anew the presence of
the Holy One in their lives.
A cradle Lutheran, born and
raised in York County, Pennsylvania, my faith
journey began amidst a growing rural-suburban
community. Many people, young and old, male and
female, rich and not so rich, shaped my life…more
importantly though Jesus was the focus. Even
as my own life took a winding and twisting path, I
knew my faith would support me, even in the
darkest of times. The foundation of my faith
is to know and live a life filled with love for my
brothers and sisters in Christ! Yes, my
journey continues in a new faith community, ready
for God’s intervention through us.
Prior to my seminary education,
I worked in the Hospitality Industry starting as a
bus boy/server in a family-owned restaurant as a
teenager. Nearly thirty years later, I was
the General Manager of a mid-sized catering
company. Here I learned, developed and
continued to hone my skills as a welcoming
person. Using my management skills I
realized that my staff was my first congregation,
simply by acting and doing like Jesus!
My call to ministry that I
thought was dead, resurrected after a thirty-year
silence! Upon completion of my Bachelors of
Arts Degree in Organizational Management, I
entered The Lutheran Theological Seminary at
Philadelphia. After my seminary graduation
in 2010 with a Masters of Divinity I began work on
a Masters of Sacred Theology in Congregational
Dynamics. In particular, my work in ministry
centers on being an inclusive community to engage
Jesus in every day life. From the youngest
of persons to the oldest, everyone is welcome in
God’s Kingdom, especially those who feel or have
felt disenfranchised by a faith community.
You are welcome to Trinity
Church – Fort Washington, known as “The Friendly
Church in Fort Washington”! Come; see;
experience the joy, love and peace that comes from
God through Jesus!
