Pastor Frank Sayford received his Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a Latino concentration.  He served Trinity as a second year seminary field student.  He was called as Trinity’s 22nd full time pastor in June of 2005, having served as Vicar and Assistant Pastor of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Feasterville for four years in his first call.  He served the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod as a member of the Urban Mission Partnership Task Force and has a wide range of experience in all phases of congregational service.

Pastor Frank brings to the ministry a strong sense of call to serve the people of God.  He is active in the Youth Ministry, Christian Education and Worship ministries among others here at Trinity having served these areas in various congregations in both urban and suburban settings in the past.  Pastor Frank brings a strong conviction that God is indeed present at all times and in every event in the lives of all people.  He is concerned with proclaiming God’s presence to all people and especially to those who are hurting.  The congregation is also called to serve all of God’s people using the special gifts God has given to each and everyone of us.

Pastor Frank also believes in God's call to serve the community and serves as a Chaplain with Lutheran Disaster Response, has taught Spiritual Chaplaincy in Disaster courses, is Chaplain and Vice President of the Fort Washington Fire Company, and isa member of the Fire Police, and serves as a Chaplain with the Montgomery County critical Incident Stress Management team.

Under Pastor Frank, the Senior High Christian Education Class, the Sunday Morning Adult Forum, and the Youth Group have been reinvigorated as well as a revitalization of community outreach.  In partnership with other congregations and agencies of all faiths Trinity is working to be a beacon of God’s light in a darkened world.
